Direct debitSave time and hassle by automatically paying your water bill through direct debit, directly from your bank account. Choose to pay each quarter or in instalments. Please note that direct debit payments must be linked to a bank or credit union account. Credit cards are not accepted.
Payment extensionsIs your payment problem short-term? Simply lodge a Payment Extension Request to delay payment of your quarterly instalment.

Plan your payments to suit youSmoothPay is Yarra Valley Water’s payment and budgeting tool, which allows you to pay your water bill fortnightly or monthly. It means you can make smaller and more frequent payments over the year, to reduce the impact of quarterly bills on your household budget.
Putting you in control of your water billSigning up to SmoothPay is quick, easy and free and will not add any additional charges to your annual bill.
To apply, simply:
• Contact a Customer Service Consultant on 1800 994 789
• Choose fortnightly or monthly payments
• Choose to pay via direct debit, credit card or BPAY.
After all, even the most carefully planned budget can feel the strain of quarterly bills – especially when several are due at once.
Save with concession cardsDo you hold a valid pension or concession card? You may be entitled to a concession on your water and sewerage charges if claimed for your principle place of residence. This means the name and address on your valid card must be the same as those on your water account.
Do I qualify?Eligible cards include:
- Centrelink Pension Concession Card
- Centrelink Health Care Card
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs Pension Concession Card or a Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Repatriation Health Card For All Conditions.

What savings are available with my concession card?
The water and sewerage concession provides a 50 per cent discount off water and sewerage charges up to an annual maximum. For 2016/17 this is $305.50.
If you are billed for a single service, for example, water only, you will receive 50 per cent off water charges up to a maximum of $152.75.
