About the WaterCare Process
WaterCare International Pty Ltd (WCI) is an Australian wastewater treatment company setup to treat waste water streams. This is done by means of a Gravity Separation process which uses environmentally friendly agents, to produce safe discharge into the environment or for reuse.
This method of water treatment can operate as a zero discharge treatment system. The sludge could be use for composting, or other, and supernatant, the liquid, possibly for recycling back to the boilers.
The WCA technology is based on the natural process of solids falling out of suspension when in a liquid at rest. The settling rate and volume of sludge formed depends upon settling time allowed.
WaterCare scientists have worked extensively in and around this area of wastewater treatment for over 36 years and have experience of flocculation type treatment systems. They have designed a GRC clarifier that increases the settling rate to such a degree that the process is complete within two hours. This reduces the BOD from 100mg/L to less than 20mg/L.
